Goodbye Dr Deakin!

Dr Adam Deakin has been one of our GPs since 2019, having previously spent time here as a trainee. He became a partner only a year later, and has been a key part of our practice team ever since. As well as being a great doctor, he has also been an ever-helpful calm and collected problem-solver (particularly during his early 7am clinics before the managers arrived!) and a very supportive supervisor for our trainees and physician associates. He has also been a massive help to Dr George Rajasekar, who is taking over his place in the partnership. Dr Deakin is now moving away with his family and we wish him all the very best for the future. Thank you Dr Deakin for everything you’ve done for the staff and patients at Pound Hill Medical Group.

(What’s with the ice cream van? Well, Dr Deakin didn’t want a big fuss, but we didn’t want to let him go with absolutely no send off, so as a compromise we asked a local ice cream van to pop in on Friday for his last day! It worked out well in this heat!)
