We now offer early morning and evening GP appointments weekday on either a Monday or Tuesday from 6:30PM to 8:15PM and Mondays from 7:00AM. We are offering Saturday surgeries once per month, appointments available from 8:30AM to 11:30AM. These are available to all patients of Pound Hill and Copthorne but will all be conducted at the Pound Hill Surgery. Please contact the surgery for more details.

From 4th September, 2006 children are being routinely offered the new pneumococcal vaccine as part of the routine immunisation programme. There will be a catch-up campaign for children up to two years who have already started their immunisations. They will be contacted by their GP in the next few months to be vaccinated.
Two other changes are also being made to the routine programme to maximise protection against Meningitis C and Hib disease.
The new routine vaccination schedule is as follows:
2 months DTaP/IPV/Hib + pneumococcal vaccine
3 months DTaP/IPV/Hib + MenC vaccine
4 months DTaP/IPV/Hib + MenC + pneumococcal vaccine
12 months Hib/Men C
13 months MMR + pneumococcal vaccine
DTaP/IPV/Hib is a single injection that protects against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio and Hib.
MenC protects against meningitis C
Hib/ MenC is a combined vaccine protecting against Hib and Meningitis C
